Christmas and New Years 2014 posts

December 30
Well hey there my dear dear family!!!!  What a blessing it was to see you all on Christmas day.  It was wonderful to see that you were all doing well and healthy.  Christmas was great and now it's time to celebrate the new year.  I'm so thankful for the opportunity that I've had to spend most of 2013 on my mission and to spend half of 2014 on my mission.  What a blessing and what a blessed country.  I'm unfortunately out of time for this week so I'll just leave you with some pictures and then I'll write a better email next week =)  Love you all!!

Happy 2014 family!!!!  Wow I can't believe it's already a new year.  Since I haven't been super good about writing good emails home since I write so many personal emails, I thought I'd just get this one out of the way first so it would be a little better.  So a new year, wow.  There are lots of things to look forward to this year!  I come home this year can you believe that!?  It's crazy to think about.  Anyway I'm glad to hear things are well at home.  Brenton I'm so happy that you got your Patriarchal blessing.  What an amazing thing.  I heard it was wonderful.  I wish I could have been there.  Thanks for the pictures Dad of the skiing adventure!  It looks like you all had lots of fun!  And you all looked great in your winter gear!  So it's weirdly warm here.....like not WARM but not nearly as cold as it should be.  I'm a little scared that it will just be a really really late winter and then in the spring the flowers won't bloom.  Anyway the good news is it isn't too cold and I haven't frozen yet haha.  So New Years Eve was great.  We had district meeting and we all wore mustaches.  Then we had lunch with Aad and Elsje.  We ate chicken soup and ollie bollen (very dutch) and then played their favorite game which is a lot like sorry.  Then we were in by 4 and from there I took a nap, we watched 17 Miracles, and Ephraim's rescue.  Then we ate junk food, I made chocolate fondu, and then at 10:30 we tried to sleep and then woke up at 10 till midnight and brought in the new year with LOTS of fireworks, pretend champaign, and rain, it was great.  The day after was just a regular old missionary day.  So except for that nothing really that exciting  has happened.  We've met a few good potentials, and we are continuing to work with the ward.  This week was transfers and I'm staying here so I'll be here 6 months.  It's crazy to think I've been on my mission for like 10 months and have only been in two cities.  Well I love you guys a LOT.  I hope you have a great week getting back to school and everything!  I love you!

Love,
Zuster Mizell
